Toughened

Toughened glass, also known as tempered glass, is a type of safety glass that is specially treated to increase its strength and durability. It is manufactured by heating ordinary glass to a high temperature and then cooling it rapidly. This process makes it about four to five times stronger than regular glass. One of its main safety features is that, when broken, it shatters into small, blunt pieces instead of sharp, dangerous shards, reducing the risk of injury.
Toughened glass is widely used in car windows, shower doors, glass partitions, mobile phone screens, and building facades due to its strength and safety. It is also resistant to heat and sudden temperature changes, making it suitable for demanding environments. However, once toughened, the glass cannot be cut or drilled without breaking. Overall, toughened glass is an essential material in modern construction and manufacturing because it combines strength, safety, durability, and reliability for many practical applications.
